Tough it is a distant town from Beirut and other Lebanese cities, plenty of students visit Baskinta to study in its well known schools. Baskinta has three different schools, two private ones that belongs to:
- Les Soeurs de Charite De Besançon - School of St. Vincent De Paul
- Les Freres des Ecoles Chretienes - School of St. Peter

And the third one is a public school managed directly by the Lebanese Ministry of Education. Other found public services are civil defense center that provides training and rescue services for the town, also Baskinta benefit from a snow shoveling center which takes care of cleaning all the roads during snowy winters.
